On October 3, 2015, partners and friends will gather for the 28th AmeriCares Airlift Benefit to support our humanitarian work in the U.S. and around the world. More than 800 guests will join us in an airplane hangar uniquely transformed for an inspirational evening of cocktails, dinner and dancing. The evening includes AmeriCares signature Airlift where midway through the evening, a group of guests and AmeriCares staff will leave their tables, climb aboard a chartered plane and depart for a 24-hour journey to see firsthand the health challenges faced in the developing world every day. This year’s destination is Guatemala, where more than half the population struggles with poverty and little or no access to medical care. AmeriCares provided more than $27 million in aid to Guatemala last year alon-e.

Shearwater Organic Coffee Roasters has generously donated a special Guatemala ADISQUE coffee named after the Fair-Trade Organic Cooperative in Guatemala. Shearwater coffee served up during dessert and in take-home sample bags for brewing the next morning.
